Theroux’s brilliance is understated but brilliant

I have long been an admirer of Louis Theroux and the work that he does.

His documentaries deal with a large range of topics and issues, some more obscure than others, and relays them in a way which anyone can relate to.

I like to think of him as the master of human interest journalism: he takes any subject and makes it accessible to such a broad audience. A skill that many do not have, but he has in abundance.

He also embodies the phrase ‘jack of all trades’, making himself an expert in his chosen subject area in order to get the most out of his explorations.

You can also not fault his commitment to the cause either, as I have seen him totally immerse himself into things on numerous occasions to help to tell the story.
